Daniel founded the firm in 2009 with a stubborn idea: that the family down the street deserves the same caliber of planning as the family with a family office — delivered without the mahogany intimidation.

Seventeen years and fourteen hundred families later, that’s still the whole model. Daniel leads the estate planning practice: trusts, wills, and the occasionally-delicate work of helping three generations agree on what “fair” means. Clients describe the same experience — he listens more than he talks, he draws pictures until the plan makes sense, and he answers the phone himself more often than any founding attorney should.

Before opening the firm, Daniel spent nine years in the trusts & estates group of a large regional firm, where he learned exactly the kind of firm he didn’t want to build.

Grace joined the firm in 2014 and built its probate practice into what it is today: the calm in the middle of the hardest season a family goes through.

She has guided hundreds of estates through the Second Judicial District Court — from two-week affidavits to multi-year administrations with ranches, water rights, and complicated families. Her clients tend to say the same two things: that she explained everything before they had to ask, and that she never once made them feel foolish for crying in a law office. Both are the job, as far as Grace is concerned.

She also handles the firm’s fiduciary disputes — will contests and trustee conflicts — where her reputation for preparation does most of the arguing.

Marcus grew up in Sparks watching his parents buy their first house — and watching how little anyone explained to them. His practice is the correction.

He handles the firm’s real estate work end to end: purchase and sale counsel, deeds and title curative work, and the boundary, easement, and HOA disputes that come with a fast-growing valley. Escrow officers like him because he solves problems instead of finding them; clients like him because he answers the phone on Friday afternoons, which in real estate is when problems are born.

Marcus joined the firm in 2019 after five years at a Nevada title company — experience that shows every time a closing wobbles and he already knows exactly who to call.
